Why Choose Ann Arbor Counseling Associates?
With so many group practices, agencies, and organizations to choose from, why build your career here?
Ann Arbor Counseling Associates (AACA) is a woman-owned, anti-racist, and inclusive small business that prioritizes integrity, collaboration, and meaningful service. We’re committed to creating a space where each team member is genuinely valued—not just for their professional skills, but for the lived experiences and perspectives they bring.
We’re looking for self-directed professionals with bold ideas, a passion for serving the community, and a desire to grow—personally and professionally. If you’re seeking a workplace that honors innovation, reflection, and reinvention, we invite you to explore our practice and reach out to establish a relationship with our clinical director at [email protected] to learn more about your future at AACA.
AACA is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We welcome and celebrate the diverse identities, backgrounds, and experiences of our team and the communities we serve—regardless of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, pregnancy status, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
We acknowledge that mental health care has historically included biased practices and systemic barriers, especially for people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and Indigenous communities. As a practice, we are committed to continuous education and accountability. We actively examine our language, policies, and treatment methods to implement anti-racist, inclusive, and equitable practices across our organization. We expect our team members to share in this commitment and help foster an environment of awareness, advocacy, and allyship.
We believe the best ideas come from within. That’s why employee voices matter here. We encourage open feedback and rely on our team to help shape protocols, procedures, and service development.
We recognize that each person carries unique responsibilities and needs. Our flexible, supportive environment allows for personalized schedules and a healthy work-life balance that adapts to your goals. That is why we start full-time positions at a minimum of 32 hour full time work week comprised of your clinical and associated administrative time. We understand the work you deserves an equal balance of time to decompress and reconnect with yourself, loved ones, and activities you enjoy. We don't find it necessary to keep you for 40 hours when the case load and associated administrative tasks can be achieved in less time.
Our work doesn’t stop at awareness—we are dedicated to action. Through training, team dialogue, and policy review, we continuously evolve to ensure our workplace and clinical practices uphold equity and inclusion.
