Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
• Recruit, select, and onboard new team members following California employment law and company hiring practices.
• Staff Leadership & Performance Management
• Support, oversee, and evaluate grooming professionals and support staff; conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing mentorship.
• Culture & Team Morale
• Motivate, uplift, and inspire staff while maintaining a healthy, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture aligned with Wild Dog Grooming’s mission and values.
• Strategic Alignment
• Ensure individual staff goals align with salon-wide strategic objectives; track progress toward key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Quality Assurance
• Conduct routine evaluations to uphold service standards, cleanliness, and safety protocols.
• Conflict Resolution
• Handle customer and employee concerns with professionalism, confidentiality, and fairness.
• Vendor Relations
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality, timely inventory restocks, and favorable terms.
• Inventory Management
• Track and manage inventory levels; forecast supply needs and place timely orders.
• Data & Reporting
• Monitor salon performance metrics and generate weekly/monthly reports on team productivity and salon profitability for review with the general manager and leadership team.
• Regulatory Compliance
• Stay informed of federal, state, and local regulatory updates (e.g., OSHA, Cal/OSHA, CA Dept. of Public Health) and ensure salon operations remain in compliance at all times.
• Scheduling & Staffing
• Strategically plan work schedules and adjust staffing levels to meet operational needs and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
