Uplift 100 staff provides important services with meaningful activities, and safe socialization opportunities for seniors. Daily social interaction can improve both mental and physical health and help to prevent or delay cognitive decline. Mental and social stimulation during the day can also improve the quality of sleep at night. Our environment offers the chance to build new friendship and enjoy peer support. Description

Uplift 100 Adult Day Center is looking for a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Activity Lead/CNA to help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for our participants.

The Activity Lead/CNA will lead meaningful daily activities while also providing hands-on support with participants’ care needs. The ideal candidate enjoys working with older adults and/or individuals who need supportive care and is passionate about making a positive difference in their day.

Key Duties

  • Plan and lead engaging activities including games, crafts, music, exercise, social events, and special celebrations.
  • Encourage participation while respecting each participant’s interests, abilities, and preferences.
  • Assist participants with ADLs such as toileting, grooming, dressing, feeding, mobility, and transfers as needed.
  • Monitor participants and report changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
  • Complete required documentation and follow care plans, safety, and infection-control procedures.
  • Work cooperatively with staff, participants, and families.

Requirements

  • Current CNA certification in Texas.
  • High school diploma/GED preferred.
  • Previous experience working with seniors, adults with disabilities, or in a healthcare/adult day setting preferred.
  • Ability to safely assist participants with personal care and mobility.
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work as part of a team.

Salary

$16 - $18 per hour
