Intake Coordinator/Office Assistant Job Summary
We are currently seeking an Intake Coordinator/Office Assistant to join our team at a busy speech therapy clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting initial intakes, verifying patient eligibility for care, and accurately entering patient data into our system. Additionally, you will be tasked with updating and maintaining the medical records of existing patients, and supporting team members and updating employee records. The successful candidate should have previous administrative experience, preferably within a medical setting, and possess strong data entry skills.
Intake Coordinator/Office Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct initial intakes to determine patient eligibility for services
- Gather and record medical histories and personal information from new patients
- Update and maintain medical records for current patients
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare necessary paperwork for new patients
- Provide assistance with billing procedures as needed
Intake Coordinator Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree
- Previous experience in patient scheduling
- Familiarity with health insurance processes is a plus
- Proficient computer skills and data entry abilities
- Bilingual communication skills are advantageous
