Description

Primary Function:

The Cashier is an entry-level position within the Qualla Enterprises, LLC organizational structure and is responsible for assisting in the sale of all Qualla Enterprises products. This position will receive payment for all orders placed by patrons of Qualla Enterprises and will be responsible for reconciliation of funds and transactions performed.

Pay Grade/FLSA Status: H7/Non-exempt


Qualifications:

·        High school diploma or GED preferred.

·        1 year cash handling experience required, particularly in a banking or casino setting.

·        Must be 21 years or older.

·        Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.


 

Duties/Responsibilities:


·        Properly and accurately settle all guest checks.

·        Receive payment by cash and issue receipts, refunds, or change due to customers.

·        Maintain a neat and clean workspace throughout shift.

·        Remove and record the amount of cash in register at end of shift.

·        Greet and communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner.

·        Manage flow of customers through cashier area.

·        Adhere to reporting and reconciliation requirements for cash sales.

·        Assist with the maintenance of cash reserves and the preparation of cash transfers to a banking facility.

·        Assist other retail areas as needed due to business or staffing needs.

·        Other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

·        Basic knowledge of computers, POS systems, and office equipment such as calculators and printers.

·        Basic mathematical skills.

·        Excellent organizational and communication skills.

·        Working knowledge of EBCI, state, and federal laws applicable to sales and medical cannabis.

·        Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.

·        Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

·        Excellent customer service skills.

·        Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.


Physical Demands:

 

·        Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

·        Must be able to be on feet for 8-hour shift.
