Primary Function:
The Budtender is an entry-level position within the Qualla Enterprises, LLC organizational structure and is established to provide superior customer service to all patrons of the company. This position will interact directly with customers, providing knowledge of all products to and submitting orders for patrons effectively and efficiently.
Reports to: Retail Manager
Supervises: none
Pay Grade/FLSA Status: H7/Non-exempt
Qualifications:
- 1 year customer service experience preferred.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Must be 21 years or older.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and make suggestions on product choice that best fits guest needs.
- Creates an exceptional customer service experience with guests through education, knowledge of products and salesmanship.
- Interact with dispensary customers effectively and professionally.
- Participating in the upselling of products to assist in reaching the company set monthly sales goal.
- Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints.
- Maintains up to date knowledge on the endocannabinoid system and all applicable properties and/or effects.
- Participate in the Budtender Training Program to continually improve knowledge of cannabis and cannabis products.
- Answers customer's questions concerning price, and use of merchandise.
- Provide knowledge of all products offered by Qualla Enterprises, including general components and best usage.
- Increase knowledge of Qualla Enterprises’ products through sampling program (at least 2 samples provided weekly).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of retail space and counters.
- Enter customer orders into the POS system accurately and efficiently.
- Guide customers through retail space.
- Ensure that all orders are processed and reconciled at end of shift.
- Maintain confidential and sensitive customer information.
- Answer telephones and direct calls as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Basic computer/POS operational skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Working knowledge of EBCI, state, and federal laws applicable to sales and medical cannabis.
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, grasp, reach, twist.
- Must be able to be on feet for an 8-hour shift.
