Purple Koru is looking for a candidate with proven experience in Mac desktop engineering for a large-scale enterprise with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.


The candidate will assist in all aspects of defining an improved desktop experience, migration plans, and routine update/patching process.


This is a hands-on mid-level consulting role. The candidate is expected to be able to take project assignments and execute them independently.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the macOS and Jamf environments.
  • Supporting the infrastructure and configuration for Jamf and Jamf Connect.
  • Maintain macOS Zero Touch Deployment process and configurations via Jamf.
  • Collaborating with the team and other teams to modernize our macOS environment.
  • Creating scripts to automate processes, tasks, and more.
  • Manage software deployments via Jamf.
  • Designing modern standards for patch management and then executing the processes associated with OS and application-level updates/upgrades.
  • Provide endpoint health and performance insights using Jamf, PowerBI, etc.
  • Acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
  • Identify system trends related to endpoint issues and develop modernized solutions to improve efficiency and stability.
  • Creating and maintaining relevant knowledge base articles for our IT Service Desk, Desktop Support, and end users.
  • Working with internal teams and leadership to understand business requirements and providing solutions to meet them.
  • Communicating progress reports to managers, project managers, and other internal stakeholders.
  • This position required the ability to work in a project-based environment requiring flexibility and teamwork; performs other job duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Jamf 200/300 certifications (or equivalent experience)
  • Extensive experience supporting macOS Monterey in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with Jamf, Jamf Connect, and Nudge.
  • Strong experience in designing and implementing best practices around OS update/upgrades, patch management, provisioning, and software deployment.
  • Advanced knowledge of modernizing macOS infrastructure.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex issues associated with hardware and software.
  • Experience automating processes and tasks using Bash or Python.
  • Ability to deliver projects on schedule and communicate regular progress reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Jamf 400 certifications is a plus.
  • BeyondTrust Privilege Management experience is a plus.
  • Microsoft Defender experience is a plus.
  • Netskope experience is a plus.
  • Windows experience is a plus.
