We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team as Direct Care Staff.

Description

Direct Care Staff play a critical role in supporting youth residing in our group homes. Staff provide supervision, guidance, mentorship, and daily living support while helping create a positive and nurturing environment. This position requires patience, professionalism, consistency, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of youth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and support for youth in a residential setting.
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
  • Build positive relationships and serve as a positive role model and mentor.
  • Encourage and monitor youth participation in daily routines, including personal hygiene, room cleanliness, and assigned chores.
  • Provide reminders, guidance, and support to help youth develop independence and accountability.
  • Assist youth with meal planning and preparation while promoting independent living skills.
  • Transport youth to appointments, school, work, community activities, and other approved destinations.
  • Complete accurate documentation, daily logs, and incident reports.
  • Implement behavioral support plans and utilize de-escalation techniques when necessary.
  • Monitor youth activities and ensure compliance with facility rules, policies, and safety procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and crisis situations.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience working with youth, foster care, behavioral health, education, residential care, or related fields preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check, fingerprint clearance, and drug screening.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Salary

$18 - $21 per hour
