JOB TITLE: AIDA Program Mentor
REPORTS TO: Member Success Manager
JOB STATUS: Full-Time W2
START DATE: Two Weeks from Job Offer
LOCATION: Remote in the US (Must be authorized to work in the US)
SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week with some flexibility. Some evening/weekend availability will be required (specifics to be discussed).
SALARY: $65,000 - 68,000 per year + benefits (health insurance reimbursement, 401k match, generous PTO, work-from-home stipend, annual retreats, and professional development!)
About this role
As an AIDA Program Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting AIDA members transitioning into instructional design careers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Fostering a collaborative learning environment by being a resource, offering support, and providing constructive feedback.
- Guiding members in developing their instructional design skills through mentoring sessions, coaching calls, and asynchronous communication.
- Sharing industry insights, best practices, and practical strategies for success.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in instructional design and supporting the maintenance of program information.
- Actively participating in our communities, contributing to discussions and networking opportunities.
- Serving as an expert on AIDA program requirements, rubrics, and recommendations for achieving certification and transitioning successfully into instructional design.
- Maintaining an in-depth understanding of the AIDA program to provide accurate guidance and support.
- Completing member submission feedback/reviews daily using provided rubrics and resources, and communicating with relevant parties if necessary.
- Conducting a few coaching calls per week at consistent times, reviewing the sign-up sheet in advance, and following up on unresolved questions.
- Design, develop, and facilitate training sessions on relevant topics coordinating with the member success or sales & marketing teams.
- Complete 1:1 member meetings as needed in coordination with the member success team.
Qualifications
- Completion of the Applied Instructional Design Academy, ID portfolio required
- Very comfortable with Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, Vyond, Camtasia, and vILT
- Experience as an Instructional Designer (Contract or W2)
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with many stakeholders
- Comfortable with systems and online technology / social media
- Excellent decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills, the ability to time-block, prioritize, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
Job Requirements
- Computer with a webcam, microphone, 8+ GB ram, 512+ GB HD
- A reliable internet connection that doesn’t slow down or lag when completing job duties
- A reliable, safe, and distraction-free work environment
- Travel required 2-3 times per year
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
