Ready Steady Cargo Inc — Class A CDL Driver Openings (Amazon Freight Partner)


Location: Lathrop, CA (On-site) 


Pay: Starting $24/hr + overtime (OT). Pay escalations based on experience and performance with reviews at 30 / 90 / 180 / 360 days, then annually.

Position 1 — Full-Time Class A CDL Driver (Mon–Fri, Home Daily, some weekends may be included)


Schedule: Monday–Friday (Home Daily), on occasion, some weekends may be included. 


Start time: TBD — daily dispatch window varies day to day 


Hours: Minimum ~42 hours/week (3x 14 hr shifts) with opportunities for additional shifts and overtime. Additional shifts awarded based on performance.

What you’ll do

  • Haul Amazon loads (primarily no-touch freight) using Amazon-branded equipment/technology
  • Drive local/regional routes and be home after every shift
  • Maintain strong on-time performance and professional communication with dispatch
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects promptly
  • Use smartphone/handheld apps for GPS, communication, and basic reporting
  • Follow SOPs with a “no shortcuts” safety mindset; report incidents/safety concerns immediately

What you’ll need

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid Class A CDL (no current suspension/revocation)
  • Clean MVR
  • Able to pass DOT physical, background check, and pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be able to speak/read/write English for safety, road signs, and required reporting
  • Comfortable using handheld tech/smartphone applications

  • Hands-on owner support (in-person + remote): You’ll work with an involved owner with experience across last mile, freight, and medical transport. The owner supports drivers with clear expectations, culture and standards, issue escalation, and back-office coordination (payroll, insurance, and admin support).
  • 24/7 remote dispatcher coverage: You’ll have access to a dispatcher team around the clock, so you have someone to reach while on the road for route updates, issue escalation, and operational support.


Position 2 — Part-Time Class A CDL Driver (Sat–Sun, Weekends)


Schedule: Saturday–Sunday (Home Daily) - Weekend Warrior
