Job Overview: Ready Steady Transport Services is hiring part-time drivers to support our growing need for gurney transport services throughout the San Jose area. This role focuses on transporting patients who require a higher level of mobility assistance—particularly non-ambulatory clients using gurneys. About Ready Steady Transport Services

Ready Steady Transport Services is a non-emergency medical transportation provider serving the assisted transportation needs of seniors and those with mobility challenges throughout San Jose and surrounding communities. Destinations include area medical centers, hospital campuses, rehabilitation and skilled care facilities, and more. Drivers will be charged with providing direct assistance to ambulatory, wheelchair, and non-emergency gurney patients.

What You’ll Do

  • Safely transport patients using gurney and/or wheelchair-accessible vehicles
  • Provide door-through-door service, ensuring clients are assisted from their home/facility into the vehicle and to their appointments
  • Operate company vehicles using mapping tools and route scheduling apps
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, client interactions, and incidents through mobile apps
  • Communicate with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers as needed
  • Ensure every ride is a positive experience for the passenger

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in healthcare, home care, EMS, or EMT strongly preferred
  • EMT Card Holders welcomed; pay rates are based on prior certification and experience
  • Ability to safely assist patients into and out of gurneys and wheelchairs
  • Physically fit; able to lift, bend, assist with stairs, and push/pull mobility equipment
  • Must be 25 years or older
  • Hold a valid California driver’s license
  • Clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Report will be reviewed)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Pass a criminal background check and drug screening
  • Patient, compassionate, reliable, and professional demeanor
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • $19 - $30 "based on prior certifications and experience"

  • Training and orientation are provided.
  • Company vehicles, uniforms, and mobile tools are issued as needed.
  • Shifts may include weekdays, weekends, or a combination depending on availability.
