As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide assistance and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs in residential homes. - Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Implement care plans and follow established protocols for individuals with specific medical conditions or disabilities
- Support individuals in participating in social activities and community integration
- Document observations and report any changes in behavior or health status to supervisors
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals
Skills:
- Ability to lift and perform heavy physical tasks as required
- Experience or knowledge in providing care for individuals with dementia or cognitive impairments
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive individuals to appointments or community outings
- Familiarity with assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care settings
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Understanding of direct support systems and practices
- Background in social work or related field is a plus

Experience:
$14 - $16.5 per hour
