Braata Productions invites dynamic, experienced and creative Teaching Artists to apply to teach our afterschool program and senior center Spring residencies. We are looking for Teaching Artists in all arts disciplines. Reporting to Braata’s Education Program Coordinator, teaching artist positions are available for Schools and Senior Centers in Queens, NYC. Teaching Artists who work on-site are required to provide proof of vaccination, due to NYC and DOE regulations. Braata conducts workshops in senior centers and after school programming in public schools throughout New York City and uses theater, dance, music and the visual arts to engage and educate. Throughout our ongoing residencies, workshops, and community events, Braata programs introduce youth and community members to Caribbean art forms, foster collaboration, strengthen problem solving skills, and provide outlets for creative and engaged expression.

Employment Classification: Seasonal Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Location: Queens, New York
Pay: $75/hour. The Braata Productions (BP) Teaching Artist pay scale is based on experience and expertise. Teaching Artists are also paid $25/hour for planning time and meetings. BP will cover the cost of any necessary supplies.
