Braata Productions
Braata Productions is a multidisciplinary performing arts company founded in 2009. Named after the colloquial Jamaican term for “more,” Braata’s mission is to bring high-quality Caribbean folk culture into prominent New York City spaces through music, stories, movement, and theatre, while achieving greater recognition for the inherent beauty of Caribbean art and its larger influence on current culture. Through public performances and education programming, we give space and voice to the immigrant experience, and provide a platform for Caribbean performers, writers, and directors. Now in its 12th year, Braata Productions continues to serve inter-generational audiences in the five boroughs with accessible events that allow them to connect with Caribbean culture.
