The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington is to empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as caring, productive, responsible citizens. Since 1956, the organization has been dedicated to safely serving youth in our local community. We provide out-of-school time opportunities to school-aged youth in Monroe and Owen Counties through camps and after-school programs. We are hiring people with experience with youth development to serve as our Youth Development Professionals in our Spencer-Owen County Elementary School Sites in Spencer, Patricksburg, and McCormick's Creek. You would be the front line of building great futures in the afterschool program from 3-6 PM on weekdays during the school year.
The Youth Development Professional (YDP) is responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs and activities, including programs that focus on academic achievement, healthy lifestyles and good character and citizenship. The YDP ensures a high level of participation in positive youth development programs. The YDP works under the direction of the Site Coordinator.
