Since 1985, the Governor's School Foundation has partnered with the school, raising public and private donations to help fuel the school’s mission. This is done by improving access for students who need financial assistance, investing in the school’s efforts to provide arts education in underserved counties, and funding special initiatives. Thanks to this annual support, the Governor's School remains at the forefront of providing excellent public arts education to our state. Generous donors help the Governor's School Foundation bridge the gap between state funding and the unique needs of a premier public arts school, enhancing educational, professional, and artistic opportunities for students and teachers across the state. The Foundation relies on the generosity of donors to help support the Governor’s School in providing an exemplary public arts education to students across South Carolina. SCGSAH Foundation Mission: We serve South Carolina's artistically talented students by increasing awareness and raising revenue to ensure excellence in our nation's premier public residential high school for the arts. The SC Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities Foundation raises private dollars to increase access to the SC Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities for students with financial needs, support the school's efforts to provide arts education in under-resourced counties, and bridge the gap between state funding and the unique needs of a premier public arts school.
