We are seeking a dedicated Fiber Supervisor with a strong emphasis on duties related to the maintenance and repair of our advanced fiber optic network. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of fiber optic technology and be proficient in both installation and maintenance. This role demands technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work in the field to ensure that our telecommunications infrastructure operates efficiently and effectively.
Description
Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership: Oversee and manage a team of fiber optic technicians, providing hands-on leadership and training.
- Maintenance and Repair: Ensure the proper maintenance and repair of fiber optic systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.
- System Monitoring: Monitor the performance and integrity of fiber optic networks, conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations, maintaining accurate records of activities.
- Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with other departments and external contractors, communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs, kneel, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to distinguish colors as required for the job and work outdoors most of the time
- Background check, MVR, and drug test required
