Job Summary: We are on the hunt for an experienced and dedicated Fiber Maintenance & QC Lead that specializes in fiber maintenance and quality control to join our dynamic team. You’ll oversee the maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks, ensuring top-notch quality and efficiency. This role demands strong leadership skills, technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of fiber optic technicians and contractors, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.
• Provide hands-on leadership through training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Schedule and assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and adjust workloads as needed.
• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks, ensuring minimal service disruptions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fiber optic systems.
• Manage inventory of fiber optic materials and equipment, maintaining adequate stock levels for ongoing projects.
• Conduct regular inspections of fiber optic installations to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
• Utilize testing tools such as OTDR, power meters, and scopes for testing and troubleshooting.
• Document inspection results, generate reports, and recommend improvements to enhance service quality.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding fiber optic services, addressing concerns and providing timely updates.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications or vocational training in fiber optics or telecommunications are preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in fiber optic installation, maintenance, and repair. Previous supervisory or leadership experience is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using fiber optic tools and equipment. Strong understanding of fiber optic components, transmission systems, and network architectures.
• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) or Fiber Optic Installer (FOI) are highly desirable.
