Team Overview: 

The Provider Experience team supports ZERO’s vision of healthcare simplified to $0 by supporting the providers in our network. The team is responsible for analyzing insurance pricing data, processing medical claims, supporting referrals to ZERO providers, and provider issue resolution. Provider Experience collaborates with all other teams within the company delivering the best experience possible to the members, clients and providers we serve. 

Job Summary:   

The Senior Relationship Manager is responsible for ensuring a high-quality, seamless experience for our Network Provider partners, contributing to ZERO’s mission to remove financial barriers to care and simplify healthcare. This role supports providers through successful onboarding, addressing escalations with empathy and efficiency, and managing ongoing provider requirements to enable our teams to deliver core services effectively while achieving the cost-savings expectations of our Employer Partners. 

Key Responsibilities of Position:  

• Provider Onboarding: Lead new network providers through a streamlined implementation process ensuring they understand ZERO’s model and values while preparing them for operational success. Train providers on all processes and procedures including the use of ZERO’s provider referral platform, goZERO and claims submission. 
• Issue Resolution: Address provider issues and inquiries as well as investigate and resolve billing issues and within our CSM tool (Zendesk). 
• Provider Referral Support: Answer inquiries in our internal referral platform to ensure that members are seen promptly for their visits, and all provider questions are addressed. 
• Account & Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned group of providers, building strong, long-lasting relationships. 
• Support ZERO's mission to reduce healthcare costs by working with providers to streamline processes, minimize administrative burdens, and improve efficiency. 
• Conduct Strategic Reviews with providers to review utilization, opportunities for additional procedures for their fee schedule, and educate providers on best practices that lower costs for clients and members while enhancing the overall care experience. 
• Negotiate fair pricing with providers to support single case agreements and additional procedures for their fee schedules.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other teams at ZERO including the Member and Employer Experience teams, Engineering and Network Development. 

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry
• An understanding of healthcare services, self-funded insurance plans 
• Knowledge of CPT/HCPC coding
• Good understanding of claims processing and ideally bundled payments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in Apple Mac computers,  CRM software, Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Associate degree, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
