Zero Gravity Marketing (ZGM) seeks an experienced, proactive, highly skilled Senior Email/SMS Marketing Strategist with direct experience in Klaviyo. As a Senior Email/SMS Marketing Strategist, you will spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive email strategies for diverse ecommerce DTC and B2B clients across multiple ESPs though primarily Klaviyo.

Zero Gravity Marketing (ZGM) seeks an experienced, proactive, highly skilled Senior Email/SMS Marketing Strategist with direct experience in Klaviyo. As a Senior Email/SMS Marketing Strategist, you will spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive email strategies for diverse ecommerce DTC and B2B clients across multiple ESPs. Your role will encompass strategic planning, execution, analysis, and optimization of email campaigns to drive client success and align with overarching broader marketing initiatives


Responsibilities Include: 

Lead end-to-end management of client email marketing & SMS strategies, encompassing strategic planning, execution, and analysis. This includes:


Strategic Planning


  • Drive and manage monthly email calendars aligned with client promotions, events, and company updates. 
  • Refine audience segmentation strategies to enhance engagement and ensure personalized messaging.
  • Develop and design email templates and SMS messages with a clear focus on driving customer conversion, engagement, and retention.
  • Provide comprehensive direction for email campaigns, including copywriting and graphic direction for in-house designers. Figma experience is a plus. 
  • Conduct thorough email audits across various ESP platforms, focusing on recommendations for improvising acquisition, program health/deliverability, automations, and campaign strategies.


Acquisition & Segmentation Strategies 

  • Optimize lead capture within pop-ups, flyouts, spin wheels, footer embeds, etc., for first-party data
  • Collaborate with internal team members to drive lead-capture recommendations across the brand website and marketing channels to funnel into email & SMS efforts
  • Manage, analyze, and ultimately increase key acquisition metrics from list growth to conversions.
  • Develop audience segmentation strategies aligned to business objectives and technical requirements, providing customers with a tailored multi-channel journey.


Demonstrated Email Best Practices & Industry Expertise

  • Directly build and execute emails within clients' ESP platforms, ensuring quality assurance. Klaviyo experience is required.
  • Stay up to date with industry benchmarks and trends and monitor the competitive landscape, incorporating and testing new methods and campaigns
  • Understanding of email deliverability best practices, knowledge of email design and layout practices (though this is not a design role), and some familiarity with email compliance regulations and legislation (GDPR, ADA, etc.).
  • Serve as our resident email marketing expert, lending recommendations throughout the team and writing email-optimized content for various programs.
  • Contribute actively to thought leadership within the realm of email marketing.
  • Support business growth by actively engaging in client presentations and pitches.


Lifecycle + Marketing Automation

  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of customer behavior within the email & SMS lifecycle marketing program.
  • Own the setup and deployment of core ecommerce automations such as Welcome, Abandoned Cart, Post-Purchase, Anniversary, Churn, etc.  


Reporting & Optimization

  • Continually evaluate and optimize the overall email marketing strategy according to KPIs and goals, taking a holistic approach that balances audience experience and business goals.
  • Identify opportunities to A/B test campaigns with the goal of optimizing engagement and improving retention, orders per customer, and LTV metrics.
  • Continually drive improvement across email and SMS communication by incorporating more personalization, dynamic content, and send time optimization.


Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in executing email marketing strategies within Klaviyo. Agency experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Pardot, HubSpot, Active Campaign, Retention Science, or Salesforce a plus
  • Your approach is analytical adept at deciphering campaign metrics and identifying trends swiftly.
