We are seeking passionate, energetic, fun-loving behavior therapists to deliver 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis therapy to clients aged 2-5 in a center-based setting. Our vision is to create a nurturing, preschool alternative environment for children with autism using the principles of ABA to teach them skills that matter. Using naturalistic teaching strategies, we hope to teach our clients how to self-direct their own learning and play, as well as express their unique personalities.
A behavior therapist at Zephyr is also extremely dependable and consistent, able to commit 100% to a role that requires a lot of energy.
Behavior therapists will receive training on Applied Behavior Analysis and how to deliver high-quality therapy. Applicants must be willing and excited to learn and grow their skills!
Responsibilities:
- Implement Applied Behavior Analysis programming with integrity to teach children with autism skills for independence, such as communication, peer interaction, self-care, play skills, and more!
- Engage in high-affect play with clients
- Creatively embed learning opportunities into play
- Implement behavior support plans when challenging behaviors occur
- Remain calm during high-stress challenging behaviors
- Record data in the moment on client performance
- Report data on client progress using online data collection software
- Write detailed and objective session notes
- Receive and implement feedback from supervisors
- Multi-task effectively in chaotic environments
- Communicate with BCBA and report on client progress
- Communicate with parents at pick-up and drop-off regarding their child’s day
- Change diapers and perform other basic care tasks
- Consciously commit to contributing to a positive work culture
Job Requirements & Competencies:
- Obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 90 days of hire
- Independently lead client sessions following completion of agency training
- Receive and implement feedback from supervisors
- Arrive to the center promptly at the scheduled arrival time
- Maintain consistent attendance
- Ability to navigate technology utilized by the center
- Must be able to lift, transport, and chase clients (minimum 30lb)
- Engage daily in outdoor play in a variety of types of weather
Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Previous experience working with children (required)
- Experience working with children with disabilities a plus
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Creative problem solving

Salary: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
