We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team and put in place a QMS compliant with ISO 9001 certification. The ideal candidate will create the procedures related to the Quality processes, work instruction and needed templates. He/she will also be responsible to create a full Control Plan, from Incoming Inspection up to validation of finished houses, considering all checkpoints required as per IBC and IRC standards and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the creation of procedures for other processes.

Description

Responsibilities and dues: 

● Engaged in the creation of the QMS (Quality Manual System). 

● Creation of work instructions and templates for the Quality department. ● Conduct regular internal audits to confirm compliance to ISO 9001 requirements. ● Train the organization about ISO 9001 requirements. 

● Monitoring compliance to procedures through regular audits. 

● Identify non-conformies, track corrective action and confirm closure. ● Work with manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards. 

● Maintain detailed documentation of quality control activities and findings. ● Train and mentor production staff on quality control procedures and best practices. ● Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures and standards for modular home construction. 

● Create and maintain quality documentation (control plan, inspection reports, compliance records, etc.). 

● Integration of building codes into the QMS as per other industry standards like IBC and IRC. 

● Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes. 


Qualification and requirements: 

Education: High School Diploma or higher 

Experience: 2-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance 

Skills:

Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, flowcharts and creation of 

documentation. 

Skilled with ISO 9001. 

Experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in modular construction or a related industry. 

Knowledge about quality methodologies, tools and standards. 

Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong written and verbal skills.

Work environment and conditions: 

● Work occasionally in a manufacturing or production environment 

● May involve standing for extended periods.

Salary

$20 - $30 per hour
