The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for directing and supervising a group of employees involved in inspection and quality control procedures with regard to purchased material, in-process material and finished products to assure that quality control standards are achieved.

Description

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Planning and assigning work of subordinates
  • Developing and/or adapting inspection equipment to meet quality control standards, make suggestions with regard to procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality
  • Analyzing facts or circumstances surrounding individual problems to determine what action should be taken within the limits of standard practices
  • Compiling and maintaining inspection reports and records
  • Investigating and determine cause of faulty work and consult and advise production supervisors as to corrective measures
  • Maintaining discipline, morale and harmonious relations among subordinates
  • Investigating personnel problems and adjusting as needed within area of responsibility; making effective recommendations as to hiring, promotions, wage adjustments and terminations
  • Performing other duties as requested, directed or assigned


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience

Education equivalent to a complete accredited apprenticeship training

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Quality Control in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of Inspection and Quality Control methods, techniques and equipment

Knowledge of use of a wide variety of measuring instruments and complicated drawings

Responsible for inspection group in terms of costs, methods and personnel (up to 4 employees).

Training in the following areas: General safety, Manufacturing and Construction Standards

Salary

$25 - $35 per hour
