Certified Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a manufacturing setting. The successful candidate will ensure all work complies with safety standards, regulations, and codes, and will be able to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in buildings.
  • Inspect electrical systems and components to identify issues, perform diagnostics, and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to plan and install electrical systems.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with national and local codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and testing of electrical systems to ensure reliability and safety.
  • Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Operate and maintain electrical tools and equipment safely.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including contractors and engineers, to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Provide customer service, explaining work performed and answering any questions related to electrical systems and repairs.
  • Stay up to date on the latest electrical technologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Performing a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in general construction; performing manual work in electrical rough and finish work.
  • Report manpower and authorized worker list in a timely manner. 
  • Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the stations and materials. 
  • Interpret blueprints, submittals, and specifications. 
  • Maintain a high level of productivity, quality, and safety. 


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Certification/License: Must hold a valid electrician license or certification as required by Arizona.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in both residential and commercial electrical systems.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment
  • Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work
  • Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions
  • Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in electrical installation
  • Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
  • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency


Salary

$25 - $40 per hour
