Chef – Vita Bella Italiano Ristorante

Position Summary

Vita Bella Italiano Ristorante is seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to lead our kitchen and deliver an elevated, authentic Italian dining experience. This role is responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and execution at the highest level while fostering a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and manage all back-of-house operations, including prep, line execution, and plating
  • Ensure consistency and quality of all menu items, maintaining Vita Bella’s high standards
  • Oversee kitchen staff scheduling, training, and daily performance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully compliant kitchen environment (health and safety standards)
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to ensure product quality and availability
  • Control food costs, minimize waste, and maintain proper portioning
  • Collaborate with ownership on menu development, seasonal features, and specials
  • Execute dishes that complement Vita Bella’s signature tableside service experience
  • Maintain strong communication with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service
  • Lead by example with professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail

Qualifications


  • Proven experience as a Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume or upscale restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques preferred
  • Leadership experience with the ability to train, motivate, and hold staff accountable
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Understanding of food cost controls, inventory systems, and kitchen operations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
  • ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
