Position Overview
Zenergy Instructors are the heart of our brand — leading high-energy, music-driven indoor cycling classes that inspire, motivate, and challenge riders. You’ll create an environment where every rider feels seen, supported, and empowered, delivering a consistent Zenergy experience that keeps our community coming back. This role combines performance, coaching, and community leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Class Experience & Coaching
- Deliver engaging, safe, and results-driven cycling classes in line with Zenergy’s standards and “The Ride” class format.
- Prepare thoughtful playlists and choreography that align with class flow, energy peaks, and brand guidelines.
- Use motivational coaching, performance cues, and inclusive language to connect with riders of all levels.
- Maintain smooth class flow, including music transitions, lighting cues, and proper time management.
Rider Connection & Community Engagement
- Greet riders before and after class, learning names and building rapport.
- Celebrate rider milestones and personal wins, both in class and on the studio floor.
- Represent Zenergy at events, challenges, and community initiatives when applicable.
Professional Standards & Studio Support
- Arrive prepared and on time for every class, following studio setup and teardown procedures.
- Maintain personal headset and mic belt in working order; follow all equipment care standards.
- Participate in ongoing evaluations, feedback sessions, and training to refine skills.
- Follow subbing guidelines, attendance policies, and studio operational standards.
- Support the studio team as needed before/after class (bike checks, cleanliness, greeting).
Qualifications
- Passion for music, movement, and motivating others.
- Prior group fitness or performance experience preferred, but not required — we offer comprehensive training.
- Strong sense of rhythm and ability to ride to the beat.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to connect with a diverse community.
- Comfortable speaking on a mic and performing in front of a group.
- Commitment to attending and completing Zenergy Instructor Training Program.
- CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire).
Expectations & Growth Path
- Weekly Class Minimum: 2+ classes per week once fully onboarded.
- Performance Standards: Meet ongoing evaluation benchmarks for coaching, musicality, class flow, and rider engagement.
- Promotion Opportunities: Eligible for Senior Instructor, Master Instructor, and Senior Master Instructor tiers based on tenure, performance, and contribution to the brand.
- Ongoing Learning: Attend required workshops, training refreshers, and development sessions.
