Director of Insurance & Claims 


Reports To: Chief Operating Officer


We are looking for an Insurance & Claims Director to join the Zeeba Team! This individual will oversee the company’s Insurance and accident claims efforts to manage the risk. The main responsibilities are developing an overall insurance plan including selecting the partner companies and measuring the return on investment of the insurance products. The Director of Insurance and Claims works closely with the Zeeba executive team to build a solidly profitable department that aligns with the company’s mission and connects with the values of its customers.


Position Summary:

The Insurance & Claims Director will oversee the company’s insurance and accident claims efforts, developing and implementing a comprehensive insurance strategy. This role involves selecting partner companies, managing broker services, and evaluating the performance of insurance products. The Director will work closely with the Zeeba executive team to build a profitable department that aligns with our mission and values.


What You’ll Do:

  • Insurance & Risk Management: Serve as Zeeba’s subject matter expert for insurance, risk, and claims management. Proactively identify, assess, and evaluate operational and corporate risk exposures.
  • Claims Management: Oversee the management of all insurance claims, ensuring timely and efficient processing and resolution.
  • Broker & Provider Management: Manage relationships with brokers, insurance carriers, and other third-party providers. Negotiate terms and ensure the best possible coverage and rates for the company.
  • Risk Reporting: Draft and present risk reports and proposals to executive leadership and senior staff, providing insights and recommendations for mitigating risks.
  • Team Building: Hire and build a skilled team to support the company’s growth and manage increasing insurance and claims demands.
  • Exposure Quantification: Quantify and gather exposure data at both corporate and local levels to inform insurance decisions.


About You:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPCU, ARM) are preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in insurance and claims management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.

Salary

$120,000 - $150,000 per year
