High Volume Production Porter/Dishwasher Wanted!

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a dishwasher in our fast-paced restaurant kitchen. As a dishwasher, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen and dining areas. This includes washing and sanitizing dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen items by hand and with a dishwasher. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, including countertops, sinks, and dishwashing machines.

Responsibilities:

- Collect used kitchenware from various areas in the kitchen

- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen items

- Store clean dishes and equipment properly

- Ensure there are always enough clean dishes and utensils available

- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, including countertops, sinks, and dishwashing machines

- Operate the dishwashing machine following established procedures

- Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished

- Remove garbage regularly from all areas of the kitchen

- Assist with food preparation and other kitchen duties as needed

- Keep dumpster area clean and free of trash

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant kitchen

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time

- Good communication and organizational skills

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Hands-on experience with washing dishes using a 3-compartment sink and dishwasher

- Knowledge of sanitation rules and regulations

- Ability to follow instructions and assist with various tasks as needed

- Time management skills
