Most slow and excess inventory will expire and be thrown out, creating billions in waste across the country annually. We provide opportunities for hospitals to Move, Sell, and Donate their excess inventory, thereby reducing the cost burden to the provider, and ultimately to the individual.

Position: Supply Chain Project Associate


We're helping lower the cost of healthcare and the amount of waste generated by American hospitals by reducing what they throw away.


We are on a mission to clean up the healthcare supply chain and eliminate waste, and we are now seeking a Project Associate to help us accomplish this mission. Fifteen to thirty percent (15-30%) of all hospital inventory is considered slow and excess. Most slow and excess inventory will expire and be thrown out, creating billions in waste across the country annually. We provide opportunities for hospitals to Move, Sell, and Donate their excess inventory, thereby reducing the cost burden to the provider and ultimately to the individual.


This is an ideal opportunity for a recent college graduate interested in developing a Supply Chain career. We are looking for a team-oriented individual, who has a positive outlook and attitude, has a strong work ethic, and is self-driven. We seek those who have high attention to detail and are customer service oriented.


This is an entry-level supply chain role in the healthcare industry. You will be expected to understand basic supply chain principles and work with hospital supply chain teams to streamline their purchasing patterns and consolidate their inventory. You will travel nationwide managing and performing counts then helping remove the excess product at various hospitals. This position will report directly to the Client Services Director.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical inventories and product reallocation at hospitals using Z5's mobile device-based technology.
  • Support the Client Services Team with tasks/projects as needed.
  • Manage hourly contractors while onsite.
  • Provide training to groups of 10-20.
  • Maintain high personal conduct while traveling.
  • Adhere to rules around sterility when working within the clinical areas.
  • Travel with as little as a week’s notice with up to 90% travel.
  • Work long days and weekends as required (no holidays).
  • Fill in the downtime between inventory counts by working on a secondary skill for advancement (project management, customer care, data analytics, etc.).


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Ability to be on your feet for very long periods of time without complaining.
  • Voracious appetite to learn.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Must be proficient with smart devices and technology
  • Ability to deal with a customer’s s#!t-storm with a smile on your face.
  • EXTENSIVE ABILITY TO TRAVEL AS NEEDED.

Salary

$50,000 - $60,000 per year
