Position Summary: As an Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring that all aspects of the business run smoothly. This role requires a strong leader with a hands-on approach, capable of motivating a diverse team, maintaining operational excellence, and driving the achievement of sales targets. You will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards that our customers expect and ensuring a positive and productive work environment for all staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
  • Support the General Manager in managing all daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to guarantee consistency and quality, adhering to all food safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure adequate stock of ingredients, packaging, and other necessary items.
  • Manage cash handling procedures, including daily reconciliation, deposits, and safe maintenance.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead, train, and develop a team of crew members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining staff schedules, ensuring optimal coverage during peak hours and special events.
  • Act as a role model for excellent customer service, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction and resolving any issues or complaints effectively.
  • Customer Experience:
  • Ensure that all customers receive prompt, friendly, and professional service.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints, ensuring a positive outcome and long-term customer loyalty.
  • Implement and uphold company standards for cleanliness, order accuracy, and food quality.
  • Promote a customer-first culture, encouraging staff to engage with customers and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Sales & Financial Accountability:
  • Assist in achieving and exceeding sales targets by monitoring daily performance and implementing effective sales strategies.
  • Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of promotional activities and marketing initiatives.
  • Health & Safety:
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Ensure all staff are trained in proper food handling procedures and workplace safety.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within the fast food, quick-service, or restaurant industry.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle multiple tasks, make quick decisions, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the needs of the business.
  • Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail, particularly in maintaining food quality, safety standards, and cleanliness.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills.
