We are seeking an experienced Undergraduate Admissions Advisor to support students as they navigate the college admissions process and pursue higher education opportunities.

Overview

The Undergraduate Admissions Advisor provides individualized guidance to prospective college students throughout the undergraduate admissions process. This role works closely with students, families, schools, and community partners to help students identify colleges, prepare competitive applications, secure financial aid opportunities, and successfully transition into higher education.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one college admissions advising to prospective students.
  • Assist students with developing personalized college application plans and timelines.
  • Guide students through college applications, admissions requirements, and enrollment processes.
  • Review personal statements, essays, resumes, and application materials.
  • Educate students on scholarships, financial aid, FAFSA, and other funding opportunities.
  • Conduct workshops and presentations on college readiness and admissions topics.
  • Connect students with academic, career, and educational resources.
  • Maintain accurate student records and monitor participant progress.
  • Collaborate with high schools, colleges, universities, and community organizations.
  • Stay informed on college admissions trends, policies, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Higher Education, Counseling, Student Affairs, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in college admissions, academic advising, counseling, student services, or higher education.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to mentor students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual communication platforms.
