Youth RISE Foundation (Resources • Inspiration • Service • Empowerment) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and young adults through leadership development, mentorship, education, workforce readiness, healthcare career exploration, civic engagement, and community impact initiatives.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivational Life & Career Coach to empower youth and young adults as they pursue their personal, educational, and professional goals.

Overview

The Life & Career Coach provides individualized coaching and mentorship to help participants develop the confidence, skills, and strategies needed to achieve success in their personal and professional lives. Working on a per diem basis, this role supports goal setting, career exploration, job readiness, decision-making, leadership development, and life skills while connecting participants with resources that promote long-term success.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one life and career coaching sessions.
• Help participants establish personal, academic, and career goals.
• Assist with career exploration and career pathway planning.
• Support resume development, job search strategies, and interview preparation.
• Teach workplace readiness, professionalism, and communication skills.
• Coach participants on leadership, time management, financial literacy, and personal development.
• Connect participants with educational, employment, and community resources.
• Monitor participant progress and provide ongoing accountability and encouragement.
• Facilitate workshops on career readiness, goal setting, and life skills.
• Maintain accurate coaching records and program documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, Social Work, Education, Career Development, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in coaching, mentoring, workforce development, career services, counseling, or youth development.
• Strong communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with youth and young adults.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual communication platforms.
