We are seeking a knowledgeable and resourceful Internship Navigator to help students and young professionals identify, secure, and succeed in internship opportunities that align with their academic interests and career goals.

Overview

The Internship Navigator provides individualized coaching and career guidance to students seeking internship opportunities across a variety of industries. Working on a per diem basis, this role supports participants with internship searches, application preparation, resume and cover letter development, interview coaching, networking strategies, and professional readiness to help them gain meaningful career experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one internship and career advising.
  • Assist students in identifying internship opportunities aligned with their career goals.
  • Support internship search strategies using university, nonprofit, government, and corporate resources.
  • Review and improve resumes, cover letters, and application materials.
  • Conduct mock interviews and interview preparation sessions.
  • Educate students on networking, LinkedIn, and professional branding.
  • Connect students with internship programs, employers, and career resources.
  • Monitor participant progress and provide ongoing mentorship.
  • Conduct workshops on internship readiness, professional development, and workplace success.
  • Maintain accurate advising records and program documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Career Development, Human Resources, Higher Education, Business, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Experience in career services, workforce development, recruiting, higher education, or internship program management.
  • Strong knowledge of internship and early career recruitment processes.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, LinkedIn, and career development platforms.
