Youth RISE Foundation (Resources • Inspiration • Service • Empowerment) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and young adults through leadership development, mentorship, education, workforce readiness, healthcare career exploration, civic engagement, and community impact initiatives.

We are seeking a skilled Information Technology Specialist to provide technical support and maintain the Foundation's technology infrastructure on an as-needed basis.

Overview

The Information Technology Specialist provides per diem technical support for the Foundation's technology systems, hardware, software, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity needs. This role assists with troubleshooting technical issues, managing user accounts, supporting organizational technology projects, and ensuring reliable and secure technology operations. The position is primarily remote, with occasional on-site support for events or after the opening of the Youth RISE Community Center as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to staff, volunteers, and leadership.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Configure and maintain computers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
• Manage user accounts and permissions across organizational platforms.
• Support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other cloud-based applications.
• Assist with cybersecurity, data protection, and technology best practices.
• Maintain IT documentation and technology inventory.
• Coordinate with third-party technology vendors when needed.
• Support virtual meetings, events, and technology setup.
• Recommend technology improvements that enhance organizational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in IT support, systems administration, or help desk services.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, networking, and cybersecurity.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or Google certifications are a plus.
