Youth Design Center is seeking a highly motivated Program Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing various programs for our organization, ensuring they are delivered effectively, efficiently, and meet the organization's objectives. The Program Coordinator will work closely with our Program Director to plan, execute, and evaluate programs, and will be responsible for ensuring that they are delivered within budget, timelines, and meet quality standards. In addition, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for data management related to the programs and will oversee our mentorship program.
Description
Duties Will Include:
- Coordinate and manage various programs, including managing program plans, budgets, timelines, and reports, and ensure that they are delivered within these parameters.
- Work with different teams and stakeholders to ensure programs are designed and delivered to meet program requirements.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels to keep stakeholders informed of program progress, changes, and results.
- Monitor and evaluate program performance and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Conduct regular evaluations of program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
- Coordinate program-related events, workshops, and meetings.
- Collect, analyze, and manage program-related data and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure data quality and accuracy, and develop data management policies and procedures.
- Manage our mentorship program, including recruiting, onboarding, and managing mentors and mentees.
- Use Salesforce to manage program-related data and reporting.
- Utilize Google Suite, Slack, and Asana to facilitate effective communication, collaboration, and task management across the program team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or any other related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in program coordination, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
- Results-oriented and possess strong communication skills.
- Creative, organized, and flexible multi-tasker.
- Experienced firsthand the value of community and is looking to bring this passion to the lives of youth.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, Asana, and Salesforce.
- Experience with data management, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Youth Design Center is the first nonprofit, youth-led creative agency and innovation hub in East Brooklyn. We provide gateways for young people to learn marketable design and tech skills, access postsecondary education, achieve economic mobility, and engage in place-based community revitalization.
Our mission is to increase racial and ethnic diversity in design and technology professions and to disrupt cyclical poverty and youth unemployment. We aim to reduce the number of disconnected youth by lowering their barriers to entry to the STEAM professions and increasing their relevant experience in the innovation economy. Toward achieving this goal, we respond to two interrelated issues: the lack of diversity in the design and technology sectors and the ongoing cycle of poverty amongst youth of color.

Salary
$28 - $29.5 per hour
