Do you enjoy working with children? Do you love to draw?
Young Rembrandts is a national award-winning after school drawing program. Our innovative step-by-step process teaches children basic drawing techniques. The curriculum encourages children to express their imaginations while improving motor skills, patience, focus, and ability to stay on task.
Young Rembrandts - Rockford is seeking enthusiastic candidates who have experience working with groups of 10 or more children. Drawing experience is preferred, but confidence and passion for creating art are equally considered. Young Rembrandts - Rockford provides paid training in the Young Rembrandts methodology and teaching technique. We also provide all lessons, supplies, and materials.
Young Rembrandts - Rockford offers classes in public and private schools at the end of the regular school day, as well as in park districts and preschools. As a Young Rembrandts Instructor, you must be available to teach a minimum of 2 afternoons each week during the school year. Classes are 1 hour long, and you must be available for 30 mins before and after class (2 hours total, exact timing dependent upon school dismissal time). Instructors are assigned to one or more schools per week (based on schedule).
Please be aware that the schedule for the after-school program is in line with the school calendar and primarily September - May.
Job requirements:
Please note that this is a VERY part-time position, approximately 3-8 hours per week, since only 1 after school class per day would be available. We do have a few summer opportunities, but our primary after-school program runs on the school calendar from September - May.
To apply for this position, please indicate:
1.) Your availability to teach (both days of the week and times available),
2.) Your work experience with groups of children (professional or volunteer experience), and
3.) Your current zip code (to be used to evaluate shift availability in your area).
Please visit www.youngrembrandts.com to learn more about the Young Rembrandts method.
