This is a part-time position offering a competitive hourly rate, along with a session rate for publicly led group classes. The average estimated time commitment typically ranges from 5 to 15 hours per week, plus additional teaching hours, which may vary based on the studio's current needs and stage of development.

Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Maintain a consistent presence while teaching and practicing at the studio
  • Teach a minimum of 3 to 8 yoga classes per week, covering at least 2 different class formats
  • Complete audition evaluation forms for each teacher and submit them to the studio manager
  • Arrive to studio a minimum of 20 minutes prior to class start time
  • Set up class room appropriately: Props, Mat Spacing, Music, Lighting
  • Follow up with students after class
  • Clean studio space after the class

Leadership Expectations:

  • Yoga Six Ambassador for Community Events
  • Lead by example and consistently perform all tasks at the highest level
  • Adhere to Yoga Six Core Values and uphold them with all team members

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:

  • Certified Teacher with experience in Vinyasa-style yoga
  • Minimum of RYT 200hr Certified Yoga Teacher
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (E-RYT status preferred)
  • Yoga Management experience is preferred
  • Eligibility and legal authorization to work in the US
  • Basic knowledge of various teaching styles and an interest in evolving teaching skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to support people and deal with conflict professionally
  • Ability to coach and develop teachers in refining their teaching techniques
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt and embrace change in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, ClubReady and Mind Body Online are preferred
  • Ability to attend and clear the bridge training (2 and a half day training) in person

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move freely within a heated room (up to 105 degrees) to demonstrate postures, and transitions, and monitor student movements
  • Capable of providing hands-on adjustments to students as needed and upon request
  • Ability to lead dynamic, energizing, empowering, and enjoyable yoga and fitness classes
  • Ability to demonstrate exercises relevant to the class style, as often required
  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying equipment weighing 1-20 lbs
  • Ability to travel 20 miles radius from studio to support outdoor events
