Job Summary
As a Service Advisor at Yellow Rose Painting, your job is all about building trusted relationships!
You will consult with pre-qualified homeowners on the various painting solutions that they may be considering, build a proposal that meets their needs, price (“estimate”) the job according to the standards and requirements of the company, and help them see why Yellow Rose Painting is the best partner for their painting project.
Your ultimate goal is to bring on new client partners at Yellow Rose. We specifically call our customers “partners,” because one of your responsibilities is to help potential customers see that what we are offering is a lasting, enriching relationship - not just a one-off transaction.
You are the first person that our clients will have significant contact with, and it is up to you to display our core values in a way that builds trust, makes us stand out, and makes customers want to work with us.
Your ability to set the right expectations also has the ability to make or break our projects’ ultimate success. And sometimes that means telling customers things that they don’t want to hear. That can be difficult in a performance-based sales role, but it is critical to building trust and setting our team up for success.
This role also requires an attention to detail that is sometimes rare in sales candidates. The accuracy of the proposals and notes that you provide the production team are incredibly important to a smooth project. And following through, even on the smallest of agreements, can make or destroy trust with the consumer.
This is an awesome sales role because well-qualified leads will be provided directly to you. That doesn’t mean that networking, prospecting, and business development aren’t necessary skills. But it does allow you to focus on nurturing pre-qualified relationships, versus just getting your foot in the door.
We are ultimately looking for a LEADER. Someone who will own their role, who is ready to take on responsibility, and who is excited to grow alongside a young company.
