We are seeking a motivated and client-focused Associate Attorney to join our growing law firm specializing in Probate and Estate Planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Texas law and a passion for helping clients navigate the complexities of estate planning, probate administration, and related matters.

Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in probate matters, including independent administration, dependent administration, and probate litigation.
- Advise and assist clients in creating comprehensive estate plans, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related documents.
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes to Texas Estates Code and related laws.
- Communicate effectively with clients, court staff, and other stakeholders, ensuring excellent client service and case management.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies and resolve complex legal issues.
- Manage case files, including maintaining accurate and organized documentation.
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and client meetings as needed.
- Oversee paralegals and legal assistants to prioritize tasks to minimize time-on-desk.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the State of Texas and in good standing.
- 2–5 years of experience in probate, estate planning, or a related field (new attorneys with relevant internships or clerkships will also be considered).
- Strong knowledge of the Texas Estates Code and estate planning principles.
- Exceptional drafting and legal research skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in fiduciary litigation or handling contested probate cases.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
- Familiarity with legal case management software (e.g., Clio).
- Knowledge of tax considerations in estate planning.
