ASSISTANT TOUR MANAGER USA (TOURING)


XL Event Lab is in search of a skilled Assistant Tour Manager on a 6 month contract with an immediate start. This is a touring or fly in/out role working away from home in an outdoor environment with travel and accommodation provided for the duration of the contract. 


Successful applicants will join a team of touring event professionals and support staff who are responsible for the successful delivery of ‘The Big Bounce America’ and ’ Bounce the City’, our family-friendly, immersive touring experiences. We are seeking a customer focused professional with management experience and a keen eye for detail.

We design and execute experiences for an expanding base of customers and oversee a portfolio of established events in various markets. Selling both to entertainment buyers and directly to the ticket buying public, XL Event Lab typically produces over 500 events in an average year.


The Role


The Assistant Tour Manager will work directly under the Tour Manager during the set up of each event site and also during the event days. The role will involve a wide and varied list of tasks and responsibilities and presents a great opportunity for anybody keen to take on a challenging position where two days are truly never the same. 


This is an outdoor position working on a busy and expansive event site. Strong communication and people skills will be key as you will be in constant interaction both with our extensive team of staff as well as our customers. The job involves a lot of travel as well as the opportunity to travel internationally so it’s particularly well suited to individuals keen to expand their horizons and build up some solid experience within the events industry. 


Primary Responsibilities


  • Assisting the Tour Manager in the execution of all operational matters.
  • Deployment and management of all local event day staff.
  • Deputizing for the Tour Manager as and when required.
  • Maintaining accurate Timesheet reporting.
  • Liaison with all labor agency partners.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of a safe working environment at all times
  • Coordinating and communicating all supply and equipment needs for the event
  • Liaison with the back-office team and senior management on all operational matters.
  • Management of relevant administrative tasks related to day-to-day event operations

Contractors are expected to work independently to complete the set daily tasks and may be required to supply tools and specialist equipment to complete these tasks.



Salary

$1,600 - $1,600 per week
