We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our remote team and support the deployment, maintenance, and security of our METIS Advanced Sustainment PlatformTM software. This role is ideal for a mid-career professional who thrives in a fast-paced, cloud-based environment and is passionate about ensuring reliability, security, and operational excellence across customer software deployments.
You will play a key role in managing user access, system configuration, and automated update processes that keep our SaaS solutions secure and efficient for customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Software Deployment & Management
- Coordinate and execute customer software deployments
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate version releases and updates with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure smooth rollout of new features and patches.
- Monitor deployment success metrics and implement improvements to deployment workflows.
Security & Access Control
- Administer user authentication, role-based access control, and identity management (SSO, SAML, MFA).
- Implement and maintain security best practices aligned with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or equivalent standards.
- Coordinate with InfoSec to ensure compliance with data privacy and security requirements.
System Maintenance & Reliability
- Oversee scheduled updates, patches, and infrastructure upgrades across the customer base.
- Manage containerized applications (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes) and monitor system performance.
- Troubleshoot production and staging environment issues, coordinating with support and engineering teams.
- Maintain robust documentation for system configurations, processes, and incident responses.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with DevOps, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure stable deployment of METIS.
- Lead customer onboarding and system provisioning for enterprise clients.
- Provide escalation support for complex technical issues related to deployments or authentication.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 6–10 years of professional experience in systems administration or SaaS operations.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong background in Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Proficiency with automation/configuration tools (Ansible, Terraform, or similar).
- Knowledge of identity management systems (Okta, Azure AD, Auth0).
- Understanding of SaaS security principles and compliance frameworks.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $130,000 – $160,000 annually (based on experience)
- Work Arrangement: Fully Remote (U.S.)
