As part of our Advanced Sustainment Programs team, the Senior Program Manager leads execution of complex aviation sustainment, MRO, and performance-based logistics (PBL) engagements supporting U.S. Government and commercial customers — combining program leadership with a trusted-advisor role in shaping innovative sustainment strategy. 


Position Summary 

The Senior Program Manager (SPM) is responsible for the successful execution, financial performance, and strategic growth of one or more advanced sustainment programs supporting U.S. Government and commercial customers. This role provides end-to-end leadership across program execution, customer engagement, contract performance, and business development while ensuring contractual, financial, technical, and operational objectives are achieved. As a leader within a growing small business, the SPM is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy and ownership, combining exceptional program management skills with a strong understanding of aviation sustainment, logistics, MRO, and PBL methodologies. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, helping shape innovative sustainment strategies while driving profitable program execution and long-term customer success. 


Key Responsibilities 

  1. Maintain full accountability for the cost, schedule, technical performance, quality, and customer satisfaction of assigned programs. 
  2. Manage program financial performance, including revenue, cost control, profitability, forecasting, invoicing, cash flow, and margin performance. 
  3. Serve as the primary interface with customer program offices, contracting officers, and key stakeholders. 
  4. Develop trusted customer relationships that strengthen long-term partnerships and support future growth. 
  5. Represent the company during customer meetings, executive reviews, industry events, and technical working groups. 
  6. Advise customers on advanced sustainment strategies, PBL methodologies, readiness improvement initiatives, and sustainment optimization best practices. 
  7. Collaborate with customers to develop measurable performance metrics, Statements of Work (SOWs), Performance Work Statements (PWSs), and contract structures that align with mission objectives. 
  8. Support recruiting and staffing plans, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and mission focus across the program team. 
  9. Identify opportunities for contract growth, follow-on work, and new business within existing customer relationships. 
  10. Support proposal development (technical volumes, staffing plans, past performance narratives) for recompetes and new pursuits. 
  11. Provide market intelligence and competitive insight to company leadership. 


Required Skills 

Required Qualifications 

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or related field (equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree). 
  2. 10+ years of progressive program/project management experience, with at least 5 years supporting DoW sustainment, logistics, or MRO contracts. 
  3. Demonstrated experience managing contracts of similar size, type (FFP, CPFF, T&M), and complexity. 
  4. Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, EVM principles, and the DoW acquisition lifecycle. 
  5. Proven track record of meeting cost, schedule, and performance targets. 
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior government and corporate stakeholders. 
  7. U.S. Citizenship required. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  1. PMP, DAWIA Level II/III, or equivalent program management certification. 
  2. Familiarity with aviation systems, platforms, logistics IT systems, and relevant supply modeling for long-term program support. 
  3. Prior experience supporting proposal efforts and business capture activities. 
  4. Master's degree in a relevant discipline. 


Travel & Onsite Support 

  1. Some (CONUS) travel is required to customer sites. 
  2. May require occasional work outside standard business hours to support program deliverables or customer needs. 


Salary Range: 


Salary is commensurate with experience.

$150,000 - $190,000 per year
