Job Summary: 

The General Laborer will perform a variety of tasks to support construction projects, including site preparation, cleanup, and assisting tradespeople as needed. This role requires physical strength, stamina, and a commitment to safety. The ideal candidate will be dependable, willing to learn, and able to follow instructions closely to ensure smooth site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with site preparation, including setting up and breaking down tools, materials, and equipment.

- Load and unload materials and distribute them to appropriate locations on the site.

- Perform basic construction tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials.

- Clean and maintain job sites by removing debris, organizing materials, and storing equipment safely.

- Operate basic construction equipment, such as forklifts, power tools, and compactors, as directed.

- Support tradespeople (carpenters, plumbers, electricians, etc.) with tasks as needed.

- Follow all health and safety guidelines, wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

- Report any safety hazards, accidents, or equipment issues to the Site Supervisor/Foreman immediately.

Qualifications:  

- Experience: Prior experience in construction or general labor is a plus but not required.

- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

- Skills:

 - Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

 - Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.

 - Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.

 - Commitment to safety and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:  

- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

- Comfortable with standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting for extended periods.

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if needed.
