Position Overview:

We’re looking for an ambitious detail-oriented Claims Specialist to support accounts receivable collections from commercial and government payers. This contract role is fully remote with a flexible work schedule, ideal for someone who thrives in a self-directed environment.

Responsibilities:

• Resolve outstanding claims from primary and secondary payers with efficacious actionable data
• Review and resolve unpaid or denied claims, including resubmissions, appeals, and reconsiderations
• Ensure timely follow-up on assigned accounts to maximize reimbursement
• Document all actions taken in billing systems or client platforms
• Communicate professionally with payers and internal team members
• Enhance Wuscott’s investigative and scientific approaches to improve our clients revenue operations

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in healthcare billing, collections, or revenue cycle
• Familiarity with insurance claim workflows (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial)
• Strong investigational acumen and attention to detail
• Comfortable using claim/billing platforms such as Telcor and NexGen as well as basic Microsoft skills such as Excel or Google Sheets
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal oversight
