HR & Operations Lead (Title Flexible)

Location: Malta, New York, USA (on-site)

What You’ll Do

• Lead all HR functions: recruiting support, onboarding, performance management, and compliance
• Own payroll and benefits administration (Gusto experience preferred)
• Maintain employee records and internal systems (QuickBooks experience preferred)
• Support financial audits by organizing documentation and working with external partners
• Help build and improve internal processes as the company scales from ~20 to 30 employees
• Partner with leadership on organizational and operational needs
• Take on day-to-day operational responsibilities as needed

Who You Are

• 10–15+ years of experience in HR or people operations (flexible for exceptional candidates)
• Experience at a small or scaling company; comfortable wearing multiple hats
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, especially with documentation and compliance
• Willing to be hands-on—from strategic planning to tactical execution
• Strong communicator and trusted partner to leadership
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and/or Gusto preferred
• Experience with DoD compliance, ITAR, or government contracting is a plus

Compensation

• Base salary: $125,000 – $150,000
• Target range: $130,000 – $140,000
