Low Voltage Technician

Job Duties

As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and supporting a variety of commercial low voltage systems. Your responsibilities include:


  • Install and service access control, video surveillance, intrusion alarm, fire alarm, and structured cabling systems.
  • Install, terminate, label, and test low voltage cabling.
  • Mount and install cameras, card readers, door hardware, alarm devices, and network equipment.
  • Read blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
  • Perform equipment testing, commissioning, and basic system programming.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and complete service calls.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and service reports.
  • Keep company vehicles, tools, and job sites clean and organized.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and project managers.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of commercial low voltage installation experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work from ladders and lifts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic with dependable attendance.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to use smartphones, tablets, and basic computer software.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites throughout Central Indiana.

Salary
