Job Description:
Workplace Rights Advocates is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in plaintiff-side employment litigation matters throughout California. This position involves substantial involvement in active litigation, including case management, discovery, document organization, deposition preparation, court filings, trial preparation, and client communication.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing deadlines, and capable of working in a fast-paced litigation environment handling serious employment disputes.
Responsibilities
- Draft and organize discovery responses and document productions
- Manage litigation deadlines and calendaring
- Prepare deposition notices, subpoenas, and hearing materials
- Coordinate filings in state and federal court
- Organize medical, employment, and evidentiary records
- Prepare exhibits, trial binders, and mediation materials
- Assist attorneys with motion preparation and case management
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, vendors, and opposing counsel
- Maintain organized electronic case files and litigation databases
- Assist with trial preparation and courtroom logistics
Qualifications
- Prior litigation paralegal experience preferred
- Employment law experience is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Familiarity with California civil procedure and court filing systems
- Experience with litigation document management and discovery workflows
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a litigation team
