Working Partnerships USA is a community organization bringing together the power of grassroots organizing and public policy innovation to drive the movement for a just economy. Based in Silicon Valley, we tackle the root causes of inequality and poverty by leading collaborative campaigns for family-sustaining jobs, stable and affordable housing, healthy communities, and a democracy where all our voices are heard.

The Voter Outreach Field Lead will help prepare voter contact lists and materials, support daily field operations, assist with planning and implementing events, and provide day to day support to the Voter Outreach team. They will also engage community members around elections, local and statewide propositions, and issues impacting their communities while supporting nonpartisan voter education and GOTV efforts.

DAILY ACTIVITIES

Voter Outreach and Field Work | Approximately 70%

• Conduct door-to-door canvassing and phone banking to engage and mobilize voters.
• Engage voters around elections, local and statewide propositions, and issues affecting their communities.
• Conduct C4 voter outreach and education in support of Yes on Prop 3 and No on Prop 39.
• Support nonpartisan voter education and GOTV efforts.
• Follow Civic Engagement Program scripts, talking points, and outreach plans.
• Meet daily and weekly voter contact and supporter identification goals.
• Accurately record canvassing, phone banking, and voter engagement activities.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, debriefs, and campaign activities.

Field and Program Support | Approximately 30%

• Support the Civic Engagement Program Lead with daily and weekly field planning.
• Help prepare turf, walk packets, and other materials for the Voter Outreach team.
• Help coordinate field logistics, team assignments, and materials. 
• Support the planning, staffing, and implementation of civic engagement and voter outreach events.
• Help track field progress and communicate updates, challenges, and needs to the Civic Engagement Program Lead.
• Provide day-to-day support and guidance to Voter Outreach Canvassers.
• Help create a positive, organized, and collaborative field environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be available during the designated 2026 election season from late September up until November 21 as scheduled, and attend all required training. Possible extension until March 21. 
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to connect respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Must be professional, reliable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must arrive on time and at the correct location for assigned shifts, events, training, and canvassing activities.
• Must have reliable transportation to the SVRA office and field locations.
• Must be comfortable using a cellphone, laptop, Zoom, web browsers, and canvassing/voter contact applications.
• Must be able to read a street map and feel comfortable speaking with voters both on the phone and at their doors.
• Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends, including during key GOTV periods.
• Must demonstrate a strong commitment to social and racial justice, civic participation, and building community power.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior canvassing, phone banking, voter outreach, community organizing, or event experience.
• Experience working on electoral, civic engagement, or community campaigns.
• Experience engaging with diverse communities and facilitating conversations.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
• A driver’s license, proof of insurance, and access to a car are strongly preferred. Reliable transportation is required.

SCHEDULE, WAGES, & LOCATION

• This is a temporary, part-time, non-exempt position.
• Candidates must be available for mandatory training and designated campaign shifts, including some evenings and weekends.
• Additional hours may be required during key voter contact and GOTV periods.
• Salary: $30/hour.
• Team members who use a personal vehicle for the position will be reimbursed for mileage according to the federal mileage reimbursement rate. Transit reimbursement options may be available.
