Woolsey Morcom, PLLC is a plaintiff-side firm representing policyholders in disputes against their insurance companies. We're seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support our First Party Property (FPP) practice group on our Texas caseload, helping policyholders recover what they're owed after property losses like hurricanes, water damage, and fire.


Woolsey Morcom is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for its Ponte Vedra office with experience in First Party Property Coverage to support attorney(s) through the life-cycle of cases. First Party Property experience is not required, but must have experience in civil litigation on either the plaintiff side or defense side.


Responsibilities


  • Manage a caseload of first-party property insurance litigation files in Texas, representing policyholders against their insurance carriers
  • First Party Property experience is not required, but must have experience in civil litigation on either the plaintiff side or defense side.
  • Assist attorneys with legal drafting, including motions, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Respond to Discovery Requests, to include requests for production, requests for admissions, and interrogatories; prepare defense discovery requests; monitoring and obtaining discovery responses from opposing counsel.
  • Conduct data entry and maintain accurate records of case files.
  • Provide administrative support by managing schedules, appointments, and deadlines.
  • Prepare and organize documents for court filings and hearings.
  • Conduct client interviews to gather necessary information for cases.
  • Manage project timelines and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Maintain communication with clients regarding case updates and requirements.


Qualifications


  • At least 2 years of experience
  • Working knowledge of Clio Case Management Software a plus but not necessary
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Deadline and detail oriented
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients, counsel, and court personnel
  • Proficiency in legal drafting and understanding of legal terminology.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in legal administrative tasks within a law office environment.
  • Excellent interviewing skills to effectively gather information from clients.
  • Strong project management abilities to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
