Woolsey Morcom is looking to add to our firm’s fast-growing first-party property practice. We are currently seeking an attorney with a minimum of 3 years experience in handling first-party property litigation. 

Compensation package TBD based on experience. 

Responsibilities 

• Navigating Florida’s pre-suit requirements 
• Prepare various types of motions, pleadings, exhibits, and correspondence. 
• Respond to Discovery Requests, to include requests for production, requests for admissions, and interrogatories; prepare policyholder’s discovery requests; monitoring and obtaining discovery responses from opposing counsel. 
• Taking and defending depositions 
• Coordinating with expert witnesses, including general contractors and engineers 
• Attending mediation 

Qualification 

• The successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation / first party property litigation experience (plaintiffs or defense) on Florida cases 
• Must be an active member in good standing with the Florida Bar 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Deadline and detail oriented 
• Desire to work in a collaborative environment
